Our students actively participated in the programme and performed nicely.
With welcome speech they started the event, Mono act, Mime about save plants and save lives, Speech about importance of world environment day, Skit on how to protect our environment, Quiz and slogans about environment day. Vedanikethan Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Arcot organised Science Club activity in
school premises which fosters scientific curiosity and skills beyond the classroom.
The celebration included various student activities, such as science riddles,
interesting science facts, density and indicators experiments, a PowerPoint on the
branches of science, and performances in dance and song. Students also
highlighted the contributions of biotechnology and enjoyed several science-themed
games. Through these activities, the Science Club aims to spark interest in science,
encourage creativity, and complement formal science education.
30.10.2024 – DIWALI CELEBRATION 2024
Vedanikethan Matric Hr. Sec. School celebrated Diwali on October 30, 2024, with a variety of cultural performances organized by the students. The program featured traditional dances, speeches, student craft work, drama, and music performances. Students participated enthusiastically and emphasized with the importance of cultural values and safe celebrations in the context of Green Diwali.
10.01.2025 – BLOSSOMS 2024-25
ANNUAL DAY – DAY 1
Vedanikethan Matric Hr. Sec. School, Arcot, celebrated its Annual Day, “Blossoms,” on January 10, 2025. The event showcased students’ talents and creativity, featuring vibrant performances and cultural displays.
Dr. Srinivasa Raghavan R., Associate Professor at Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore, was the Chief Guest. He emphasized the importance of fostering creativity and holistic development in children.
The school also donated Rs. 40,000, collected from the food carnival, to the Developmental Pediatrics Unit of Christian Medical College Hospital. The donation was handed over to Dr. Raghavan by the school’s parents.
10.01.2025 – TWILIGHT DELIGHT 2024-25
ANNUAL DAY – DAY 2
Vedanikethan Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated its annual cultural program, “Twilight Delight,” with the theme “We are Stronger Together “on January 11, 2025. The event was a vibrant showcase of talent, with students from Classes VI to XII performing a variety of acts, including dances, skits, and music.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Ruby Nakka, Director of The Hope House, Vellore, commended the students for their outstanding efforts. He highlighted the significance of holistic education and the value of extracurricular activities in the overall development of students.
The event was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression. The students’ performances earned applause, and the event was widely appreciated for its positive impact on the school community.
13.01.2025 – PONGAL DAY CELEBRATION
Today, we celebrated Pongal Day in our Montessori block with great enthusiasm. The children arrived in traditional attire, adding charm to the festive atmosphere. They actively participated in traditional dances and thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations.
This event provided our students with an opportunity to learn about and appreciate the cultural significance of Pongal.
